The resort
The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach is a small beachfront resort on the northern Emirates coast, made up entirely of 32 free-standing tented villas, each with a private plunge pool, a pool cabana and direct access to the sand. There are no conventional hotel rooms. The architecture is island-inspired rather than desert, with palm-thatched roofs, timber decks and open-sided living space facing the Arabian Gulf. The resort is deliberately quiet and low-density: guests are offered spa pavilions, paddle boarding and other watersports, private beach dining set-ups and in-villa service rather than a large facility list. It is the coastal sister to the same brand's Al Wadi Desert property inland.
