The resort
A beachfront resort on Al Aqah Beach on the UAE's east coast, with the Hajar Mountains rising behind it and Dubai around 90 minutes away by road. Six floors hold 190 rooms and suites, every one of which the resort states opens to an uninterrupted sea view. Four temperature-controlled pools run along the shoreline, including an adults-only Club pool, and there is a private beach, a fitness centre and guided beachfront yoga. O Spa by L'Occitane is the first L'Occitane spa in the Northern Emirates, and the Planet Trekkers kids' club runs supervised indoor and outdoor activities. Club InterContinental adds lounge access, dedicated check-in and curated culinary presentations through the day. The resort is smoke-free.
