Five properties within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio have secured top honors at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands; The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort; W Maldives; JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa; and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa collectively swept all seven award categories. These accolades recognize excellence across diverse criteria, including villa design, spa facilities, marine conservation, and service leadership.

The JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, located on Vagaru Island in the Shaviyani Atoll, was specifically highlighted for its family-oriented amenities and pool design. The resort, which features 60 expansive beach and overwater villas, earned the third spot in the Best Resorts for Families category. Other notable successes include W Maldives retaining its title as the Best House Reef for the third year running and The Ritz-Carlton Spa being named the Best Resort Spa in the Maldives.

Edging the azure waters of Shaviyani Atoll, JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa is a sanctuary of scenic luxury on Vagaru Island — 192 km from Velana International Airport, reached by a 55-minute seaplane flight. The resort features 60 luxurious beach and overwater pool villas ranging from 234 to 285 sqm, inspired by Maldivian culture. Five restaurants including treetop Thai dining at Kaashi, Japanese teppanyaki at Hashi, Italian at Fiamma, fine dining grill at Shio and all-day dining at Aailaa — plus a Wine Room with 1,620 bottles. Spa by JW with 6 couples' treatment rooms and overwater yoga pavilion. Adults-only Pool 18, Thakuru personal butler service and Little Griffins Kids' Club with 13-metre pirate ship complete the experience.
