The Four Seasons Maldives Hospitality Apprenticeship Programme recently commemorated its 25th anniversary at the Maldives National University, marking a milestone of 1,058 total graduates. Established in 2001 at the Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa to address a local labor shortage, the initiative has evolved into the longest-running hospitality training scheme in the Indian Ocean. During the ceremony, 77 students graduated, while 84 new apprentices were welcomed into the Class of 2027.
The incoming cohort will participate in a year-long curriculum that blends technical instruction with immersive island living. This year also introduces a new four-year, fully funded Marine and Environmental Science apprenticeship, developed in partnership with the Maldives National University to cultivate future sustainability leaders. With 14 distinct career pathways now available, the program continues to provide Maldivian youth with vocational training that is fully accredited by national technical and educational standards.
