Baros Maldives has announced Fully Ocean, a week-long marine conservation initiative scheduled from June 1 to June 8, 2026. The program aligns with World Reef Awareness Day and World Oceans Day, inviting guests to transition from passive observers to active participants in the preservation of the resort’s house reef. As one of the Maldives’ original resorts, Baros has maintained a commitment to ecological stewardship since its inception in 1973, and this event serves to highlight that long-standing dedication through direct guest engagement.
Throughout the week, visitors will collaborate with the resort’s marine team on various environmental activities. The itinerary includes coral restoration workshops, fish identification sessions, and guided explorations of the reef’s micro-ecosystems. Participants can engage in coral planting, attend educational presentations, and experience specialized night snorkeling sessions using UV lighting. By integrating scientific discovery with immersive water-based activities, the program aims to foster a deeper understanding of the delicate marine environment surrounding this North Malé Atoll sanctuary.
