ViluVeli Holiday Retreat is a small boutique guesthouse on Hanimaadhoo, a local island in Haa Dhaalu Atoll in the northern Maldives. The property is located on Mirihi Magu and sits within walking distance of a long stretch of open beach that runs along the island's northern edge. Hanimaadhoo is one of the few inhabited islands in the country served by an international airport, which allows direct flights from regional hubs in addition to domestic connections from Velana International Airport in Malé, typically a 50 to 60 minute flight. Accommodation at ViluVeli is compact and home-style, with air-conditioned rooms, en-suite bathrooms, and basic in-room amenities including kettles, televisions, and safes. A small on-site restaurant serves breakfast as part of the room rate and offers lunch and dinner on request, including Maldivian curry dishes and grilled reef fish. The guesthouse arranges excursions through local operators, including snorkelling trips to nearby reefs, sandbank picnics, dolphin cruises, and cultural visits on Hanimaadhoo itself. The surrounding Haa Dhaalu waters are known for seasonal manta sightings and less-trafficked dive sites compared with the central atolls. Staff can also assist with transfers between the airport and the property, which is only a short drive from the terminal building.
